I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
